IR “like” Image of Pine Trees

Shot using: Nikon Z7 with 24-70 mm f/2.8

Camera Settings: f/8, 1/125 sec, 27 mm, ISO 400

Date: Aug 20, 2022

What caught my eye: Red bark of the pine trees in contrast with the green foliage in the background. I know, this is a B&W image so the things that caught my eye are not apparent in this image, but I like the patterns and texture in the B&W version of the image. A true infrared (IR) image would be captured on either a film camera with specialized film or a digital camera modified to “see” in the infrared wavelength range. This one just looks “IR like” since the greens in the image are light (i.e. nearly white) and the reds are dark.

Update: We had a request to see the color version so here it is.
