Camper Tour
We have had several request for photos of the trailer. I have been slow to get them on the website as we have been trying to get everything set up.
It looks like a very small trailer but the top flips over to make a sleeping area. It also comes with an awning that wraps 270 degrees around the trailer. The awning covers the door, kitchen area and what the manufacturer call the “man cave”.
The kitchen area includes a sink, refrigerator, storage, work surface, and propane camp stove. In addition, this area houses the battery management system. The two yellow strips just below the awning are LED lights. Lights are also provided inside the tent. We have accessorized with our own camp chairs, table, trash can and dog. No camper (or kitchen) is complete without a dog!
From a different angle you can see the man cave, which is the black angular box on the front. Inside is the grill and the water/tent heater and more storage. There is storage everywhere in this trailer! You can also see how the sleeping portion of the tents opens up.
Above you can see the door and four more storage hatches. The ladder on the right side of the photo is also a support for the bed portion of the tent.
Looking in through the door, you can see that the inside of the tent is divided into a sitting area and a sleeping area. In the sitting area the seats and seat back open for access to storage compartments. A fold down table to the far left, not shown, provides a work surface. The cushion at the bottom of the photo raises to provide additional sleeping space that would be the perfect size for a small child or a large dog, it only the dog would use it.
With any camper you have to add your own items to make it yours and make it more efficient. The hardest thing to find was sheets to fit a mattress that is narrower than queen size but as long as a king and only 4 “ thick. I found MattressInsider.com who make custom RV and truck cab-mattresses and sheets. The assortment of sizes is surprising but they will also make custom sizes.
Our next trip is back to see the dealer. Nothing is broken. The warranty calls for the first inspection at 600 miles. Since we live 310 miles from the dealer. driving home and back takes care of the 600 miles. They just want to make sure everything is working properly and answer any questions we have. But we took a quick side trip before taking it back!
